HM-04-CDF - humidity indicator card was developed specifically for use in the electronics industry. It is ideal for use with other components of the "Dry Pack" concept of packaging of surface mounted devices.
Dry pack is a three component process:
- A barrier bag which seals moisture out.
- A desiccant bag inside the barrier bag to adsorb moisture.
- A humidity indicator card which indicates 10, 20, 30 and 40% RH.
This humidity indicator card is reversible, which complies with the requirements of Military Specification MIL-I-8835 and MIL-STD-2073-1 Method 50.
This humidity indicator card changes colour as the humidity increases, the chemically impregnated spots change from blue in colour when (active) and through to a lavender colour when (saturated).
